Awesome!

It was awesome! I don’t really know how to describe it. But it was really cool and I got bored once or twice but it still cool. Anyway, how we entertained our selves was fun! We made up riddles and here is one: What’s right at home and wrong in Japan? Try to figure it out! And just to make it a little easier I will give you a hint: Even a broken one is right twice a day. Did that help? Well, I really need to get to sleep (Mrs. Powell is already asleep!). Bye! Tomorrow morning I will right more (If I can get up tomorrow morning).

Domo Arigato Gozaimasu (Thank you!)!

Welcome to Japan, Elena, Julian and Mrs. Powell!
We can’t believe that only you without your family
are now in Japan!
Even a big earthquake welcomes your arrival.
I am surprised at your rich schedule;
I have been in a Japanese national university
for more than 20 years, however, I’ve never
seen the president of the Univ. of Tokyo, wow!
how exciting!
We have a plan to trip to Nikko through Tokyo
next weekend, so if we have a chance,
we may meet you on June 21.

Hope you have a wonderful trip.

Have a great time.

Hi Elena

Glad to hear you made it through that 13 hour flight! Where do we find the answers to the riddles??!

Everyone at Atlas International School wishes you luck. We can’t wait for you to get back to Raleigh so we can hear all your stories.

I used to live in Jiyugaoka, in Tokyo. If you pass by it, say hello for me.

Glad to hear the earthquake is so far away from where you are.

Elena: It sounds like the trip is going well. It is very common to take a while to get your internal clock straightened out. Stay up during the day and go to bed at the regular local time – it will get better.

Love you.

Hey Elena,
Glad to hear you are having so much fun and enjoying the culture. You’re probably already sleeping better at night because you’re having so much fun during the day. Take lots of pictures. Sandra
Who did you meet? Your brother and I were sorting hardwood floors at your house. He’s at NCSU basketball camp. Brycen
